Catering to Canary Care.

Breeding season at the Casa is always a special time of the year for us, filled with expectation and wonder at how the breeding process plays itself out. We pride ourselves at giving our birds the very best care imaginable, so that their first few months are as stress free as possible. We usually have some limited birds available around mid September and only sell overstock. However, all the birds we sell are birds that we would use for breeding at the Casa; but we can only keep so many birds.

A nest of  day old yellow mosaics.

Four yellow lipochrome chicks growing rapidly .

Crops full of food means everyone sleeps soundly.

A six day old chick is ready to be banded .

These two yellow mosaics are ready to battle .

So who is going to jump out first!

Here come the Glosters . Notice the  darker skin coloring.

Very hungry Gloster chicks ready for a feeding.

Sleeping quietly after the feeding.

Oops feeding time again.

And again and again!

After all those feedings, now they act as if they don't even know me; while mom looks on in the background.

A fifteen day old blue Consort and fawn Corona

18 day old Corona chicks about to leave the nest any day now.
