The Casa Canary show team participated in its first major show of the season. The results were EXTRAORDINARY! The well respected type canary judge Raquel King of San Antonio Texas judged the type canaries at the 26th annual Florida Bird Breeder Association exhibition. Casa Canary won Best Corona, 2nd Best Corona, 3rd Best Corona, Best Opposite Head, Best Consort, and 3rd Best Consort!! Out of 850 canaries at the show, the final count for type canaries was 184 with 28 of them being Glosters. The Casa won five out of the top six Glosters. Along with taking first place in 6 of 8 possible Gloster sections. However the Casa was not finished and the pinnacle of the event was yet to come. My top Gloster, a wonderful 3/4 Dark Corona, was voted “Best Type Canary” in show. Out of 14 section champions the Casa reigned supreme.
