      Sorry the update has taken so long. But the results were indicative of a lot of hard work and time spent on truly catering to the canary in the Casa bird room. Let’s just sum up how the Casa did in the 2009 Bird Show season. The Casa entered two shows last year, the Florida Bird Breeders Association 28th Annual Show and the Color Bred Canary Club 38th Annual Show; both of which were held in Miami, Florida. Both shows combined had over 1600 Canary entries, definitely a lot of good competition present with breeders from the likes of Carl Biers, John Cromwell, and Gil Gonzalez (great staffords), Will Burdett, Adriana Gonzalez (Norwich), Juan Chavez, and Juan Rodriguez (Glosters). Albert Silva, Robert Trincado, Biers & Cromwell representing the colorbreds.

     At the FBBA Show the Casa was represented well with Glosters and Staffords. A beautiful 3/4 variegated gloster hen defeated 64 Glosters on its way to capturing Best Gloster in Show, and then defeated 296 type birds to win Best in Show. This win allowed for the Casa to be Best in Show winner two consecutive years.

     A month later at the Color Bred Canary Club or CBCC Show the same Gloster Corona hen went on to defeat 103 Glosters, and then defeated 391 type birds to win Best in Show AGAIN!!! Along with the Best in Show win, the Casa Staffords won Best Crested Stafford in show, and 2nd Best Non-Crested Stafford. The crested Stafford won fifth best bird in show to round out and bring to a close the 2009 Casa Show Season. Please take a look at some of the images below from the 2009 Show Season.
